The cover story of the June issue of 'The Atlantic' chronicles a chronicle, dating back to 1937, of the individuals lives, ups and downs, of a sample of Harvard's more-outwardly happy graduates.... with surprising results [TWIST!]...
To end the snark for a moment, this article is very entertaining, despite how predictable the results are (Spoiler: Some of them ended up less happy than you'd think.). More importantly, the study itself is described as painstakingly thorough and I hope to hear more about it.
