In case you're not a music nerd like me, you'll probably need some 'splaining as to who exactly Jeff Porcaro and Bernard Purdie are. Porcaro and Purdie were/are, in their own right, the top men among session musician, specifically drummers (and Porcaro dabbled a bit in stardom, as drummer for Toto). However, I (as well as many people) learned of their incredible talent via the most technically snobbish music act in the history of yatch rock, Steely Dan.
