Great (Lesser Exalted) 80's Movie Themes

The movie score is a dying art- Hans Zimmer has done to the movies what Andrew Lloyd Webber did to theater.

Furthermore, to the extent that we now exalt 80's pop music, esp. its rich soil of one-hit wonders, we neglect the wonderful movie music from its many pre-Tarantino, non-ironic, and a-quotationalist comedies and action flicks.

More than just the wonderful fantasy of John Williams. Consider the lesser-known scores, including the work of Elmer Bernstein's military march in Stripes:



Or the lush Orient-influenced theme that plays over Chiun's scenes in Remo Williams:
