Voodoo, Deux

A while back I posted an article criticizing some social neuroscience as methodologically muddled, its conclusions unsound (Why? Because during experimentation, they failed to keep the area(s) of the brain they later claimed to be correlated to certain behavior as an independent variable; i.e. They began with the assumption that x area of the brain was correlated, and took any positive imaging in that area (even possible 'noise') as positive evidence) Anyway, apparently this article made a big huge stink, despite the fact that it won't officially be 'published' until May. This article gives a brief account of that stink, raising some interesting questions about how information diffusion (specifically, the range and speed that blogging can allow for) is sometimes potentially dangerous (or, perhaps, great).
